Lisa G. Wohl MD

Medical Director
Dr. Wohl is a Board Certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with a special interests in the treatment of cataracts and dry eye.  Dr. Wohl is a graduate of the prestigious Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. She had previously graduated with high honors from the University of Michigan. Additionally, she completed her internship and ophthalmology residency in Chicago at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was chief resident in 1984.

During Dr. Wohl’s fellowships in both cataract and glaucoma surgery, she lectured and taught cataract surgical techniques to other doctors. Dr. Wohl has been published several times in peer-reviewed ophthalmic journals and is actively involved in clinical research.  She has presented lectures to her peers at ophthalmic symposiums on corneal refractive therapy.

Dr. Wohl actively serves on the leadership team at Adventist Glen Oaks Hospital in Glendale Heights and is the past-president of the medical staff, where she served two terms.  She currently services a member of the medical executive team and served as a member of the foundation board and board of directors.  Her hospital affiliations also include St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.

Dr. Wohl is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, Illinois Association of Ophthalmology and Women in Ophthalmology.

Dr. Wohl is married and has two children.  She holds a black belt degree in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do and enjoys riding horses in the dressage style.
